Your Dog Rescue
We rescue, foster and adopt out unwanted, mistreated, neglected or abandoned dogs.

Testimonial

When Jackie, the Education Director from Your DogRescue, visited our Brownie unit, the girls were thrilled. It's not easy keeping 26 7, 8-and-9-year-olds interested for one hour but Jackie did it with ease. The information about responsible pet care, rescuing and fostering pets was presented in an age appropriate manner and her props were excellent. The girls were given plenty of time to talk about their pets, share their personal experiences and ask questions. Jackie was caring, insightful and educated the Brownies through her relaxed program. The full colour hand out materials, educational colouring book and adorable keychain were very popular. I would encourage any Girl Guide or Scout group to invite Your Dog Rescue to speak to them. It is a worthwhile, interesting and inspiring program.

Thank you

Tonia

Jackie was a pleasure to have at our Sparks meeting.  She engaged the girls and gave them plenty of opportunity to make their own comments or ask questions.  It was great that she brought along one of her own dogs as that really got the girls attention.  I would definately have Jackie come back in future years.  It also helped us cover off the last part of one of the keepers as we were unable to coordinate a visit to a veterinary clinic.  Thanks Jackie!

EDUCATION

As part of our on going educational programs, we are offering the opportunity to groups such as: Girl Guides, Cubs Scouts, School Groups or Church Groups to take advantage of our organization, Your Dog Rescue. We would like to come and have one of our speakers talk about animal rescue, adoption from rescue groups and information about the animals that are not lucky enough to have a home.

Jackie Thorn, who heads up the education group comes to us with many years experience with animal rescue.

Depending on the age group, Jackie will have various handouts, question and answer periods and play time.  All topics will be age appropriate. Jackie will talk about nutrition and the caring of our pets. Her talks will be very informative and motivating to help our furry friends and our children to understand the importance of proper care of our pets. It is our responsibility to care for the animals that surround us and to help teach our children.

YOUR DOG RESCUE

We are building a team that is focused on implementing change. Our efforts are focused on education, rescue and adoption. Education programs are focused on animal care, training and wellbeing. By empowering the children of today and working with them to make a difference in how pets are purchased, cared for and protected we are able to change the long-term well being of animals. By encouraging the sharing of information and family involvement we are able to change the attitudes that abound today that result in abandoned and abused pets.

Education is a long-term cure, however we desperately need your help today to provide shelter and a second chance to many abandoned and abused dogs. Our rescue, vetting, fostering and re-homing programs make a tremendous difference today.

Browse our web site; visit our fostering and adoption pages to see how you as a single individual can make a tremendous difference. Will you say, “Yes, I want to help”?
